My name is Cristina. I have always loved travelling and I am curious by nature and love discovering new things. I have always been fascinated by History, Art, migration among peoples, historical cultural and trade exchanges through the centuries and have always wanted to enhance my knowledge of these topics. What we are, what we see and what we live is a result of past experiences both big and small and my shoes and their history are part of this.
My discovery or better still my re-discovery of the Venice shoes is not recent it is connected to my childhood in Venice (my hometown) and my first clumsy attempts to decorate my first pair of Venice shoes with beads, feathers and rhinestones. Then the years of oblivion, years of other shoes, with or without heels, open and closed, it didn’t matter. Suddenly, after a long journey full of appointments and too many suitcases …. a eureka moment.
Wouldn’t it be fantastic to wear versatile, flexible shoes, which would allow me to go from a walk in the park directly out for dinner with just a change of outfit?
From that moment on I’ve thought of nothing else. Starting from the furlane and their fascinating history, I have continued to offer ranges that satisfy ordinary everyday needs, from the casual to the elegant.
All to be lived wearing the same shoes.
As if by magic, my Slippers creations are a fusion of my memories, my classical studies and my passion for handmade Italian products, making them the fruit of Italian Traditions.
Everything is scrupulously handmade, from the fabric to the embroidery, from the soles to the decorations, using knowledge and techniques, completely Italian, that have been handed down through the generations. This is something I’m very proud and passionate about and which I am very happy to share with you.
